Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, a Kyrgyzstani Muaythai fighter from Peru as well as a mixed martial arts athlete who is a part of the UFC in the Flyweight Division, is a Kyrgyzstani. She is the younger sister of fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as an Muay Thai kickboxer. Her debut was in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Milliner with a unanimous verdict. Antonina was able to follow it up, with a silver-medal in 2007, a bronze award in 2008 a gold medal in 2011 and the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. In 2012, she took home the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina has fought her last time against Isa Tidblad Kskikangas at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko set the professional MMA record at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She took the fight by TKO after round 2 and the subsequent 2 matches were held during the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko stopped her involvement in MMA in order to concentrate on boxing. She returned with a win against Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by a majority vote and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. Following the league's dissolution in 2018, Shevchenko joined Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko was matched against Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina used superior striking in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the fight. Antonina was offered the UFC offer after her victory. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious in the unanimous victory, however she lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi via an undisputed split decision. Antonina recovered from the loss to knock out Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko has a record of 1-2 during her subsequent three matches, winning over Ariane Lipski while falling to Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina recently lost by TKO in the second round to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
